Qatar Airways is significantly expanding its flight services this winter, increasing frequencies to over 15 global destinations, including a notable upgrade to daily flights from Toronto, Canada.
Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, highlighted that the airline is meeting rising global demand by offering greater choice and connectivity through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport, recently named the Best Airport in the Middle East. “We are witnessing a steady rise in demand for our 5-star services to prominent destinations such as London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo,” Antinori said.
One of the key highlights of the winter schedule is the landmark increase to London Heathrow services, with Qatar Airways operating up to 10 daily flights its highest ever frequency to this key gateway alongside British Airways’ double daily flights. This expansion underscores Qatar’s strategic focus on enhancing connectivity between Europe and the Middle East.
For Canadian travellers, Qatar Airways is boosting its Toronto route from five weekly to seven weekly flights starting this winter, cementing its long-term commitment to the North American market. Flight QR767 will depart Doha at 8:25 a.m., arriving in Toronto at 2:40 p.m., while the return flight QR768 leaves Toronto at 8:10 p.m. and arrives in Doha at 4:55 p.m. the following day.
Supporting this growth, Qatar Airways operates a modern fleet of 54 Boeing 777 aircraft, all equipped with ultra-high-speed Starlink onboard Wi-Fi, which is provided free to all passengers. Qatar Airways is the global pioneer in fully outfitting over 50 widebody aircraft with Starlink technology and remains the only airline in the Middle East and North Africa region to offer this service. Plans are underway to complete Starlink installation on the Airbus A350 fleet within the next year.
The winter schedule expansion also includes increased flights to African hubs like Johannesburg and Cape Town, European destinations such as Dublin and Berlin, as well as rising frequencies to São Paulo and Tokyo. This extensive network growth aims to reinforce Qatar Airways’ role as a pivotal connector for leisure and business travelers worldwide.
With these enhancements, Qatar Airways continues to position itself at the forefront of global aviation, delivering seamless travel experiences through its award-winning Doha hub during the busy winter season.
