Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines have launched daily nonstop flights between Manila and Doha as part of a new strategic partnership, with the inaugural codeshare flight celebrated at Hamad International Airport on June 30, 2025. This unprecedented shutdown was triggered late Monday after Iran launched a missile attack on a U.S. military base in Doha, escalating regional tensions and forcing airlines to cancel or reroute hundreds of flights.
